Pathway Closes on $720 million Custom FOF

Pathway is pleased to announce that it has closed on a $720 million globally diversified private equity fund of funds for a U.S. institutional investor. The fund expands Pathway’s long-term relationship with the investor and will focus on making primary fund investments in private equity partnerships, as well as investments in secondary and co-investment opportunities.

This fund represents a continuation of Pathway’s successful 30-year history of investing in private markets, which totals more than $95 billion in commitments. To date, Pathway has developed more than 95 customized solutions for our clients across private equity, private credit, and infrastructure mandates.

Pathway Closes on $1 Billion Custom Co-investment Fund

Pathway is pleased to announce that it has closed on a $1 billion custom co-investment fund for a U.S.-based institutional investor. The fund will focus on identifying and investing in co-investment opportunities globally alongside high-quality private equity managers in a variety of private equity strategies.

The fund represents a continuation of Pathway’s successful 30-year track record of investing in private markets, which includes more than $4 billion invested in private equity co-investments. Since the inception of the firm in 1991, Pathway has participated in the development of more than 110 private market portfolios, committing more than $94 billion in a wide variety of private market strategies.

Pathway Promotes Simon Lau to Managing Director

Pathway is pleased to announce that Simon Lau has been promoted to Managing Director.

Mr. Lau joined Pathway in 2006 and is a managing director and Head of the Hong Kong office. He is responsible for investment analysis and conducting due diligence on primaries, secondaries, and co-investments; negotiating and reviewing investment vehicle documents; and client servicing. Mr. Lau also serves on the advisory boards of several private market partnerships. Prior to joining Pathway, Mr. Lau worked in the business consulting division of Accenture in London. Mr. Lau received a BS in information management (first class) from University College London and an executive MBA, with distinction, from the Cass Business School at City University.

Pathway Hires Ben Dreyer as a Senior Vice President

Pathway is pleased to announce that Ben Dreyer has joined as a Senior Vice President in our London Office, where he will be responsible for client servicing and business development across the EMEA region.

Mr. Dreyer brings extensive business development and corporate strategy experience in the investment management industry. Prior to joining Pathway, Mr. Dreyer was Head of Distribution for the DACH and Nordic regions at Lumyna Investments (formerly Bank of America Merrill Lynch) in London. Prior to that, he was Head of Business Development, Germany and Austria, with Strategic Investments Group. In both roles, Ben focused on building strong relationships with a range of leading investors in the alternatives space and on developing value-added solutions to help them reach their investment goals. Ben started his career with Deutsche Bank Asset Management (DWS) in Germany and holds a master’s degree in finance from London Business School.

Pathway Hires Ed Hoffman as a Senior Vice President

Pathway is pleased to announce that Ed Hoffman has joined as a Senior Vice President in our Irvine Office, where he will be responsible for client servicing and business development across the United States.

Mr. Hoffman has extensive investment management experience that dates back more than 20 years. Prior to joining Pathway, Mr. Hoffman was a Managing Director–Senior Consultant at Verus. In that role, he worked as a strategic investment adviser to public, corporate, and Taft-Hartley pension plans, assisting them in reaching their long-term investment goals. He is a CFA charterholder and a certified Financial Risk Manager (FRM).
