Pathway Hires Liz Kraninger as Chief Operating Officer

Pathway is pleased to announce that Liz Kraninger has joined the firm as Chief Operating Officer. As COO, she works closely with senior management in overseeing the firm’s operations, including technology, legal, compliance, marketing operations, production, and human resources.

Ms. Kraninger brings more than 20 years of business strategy and operations leadership experience to her role with Pathway. Prior to joining Pathway, Ms. Kraninger was the Global Chief Operating Officer at TCW. She was also the Executive Vice President and head of Client Operations at PIMCO.

Pathway Promotes Mitch Clemente to Director and Co-head of Secondaries

Pathway is pleased to announce that Mitch Clemente has been promoted to Director and Co-head of Secondaries and has been admitted as an owner of the firm. Mr. Clemente, based in Pathway’s California office, joined the firm in 2018 as an integral member of the secondaries team. As co-head of Pathway’s secondaries program, Mitch will play a leadership role overseeing the due diligence and underwriting of secondary investment opportunities, in addition to working closely with the firm’s investors and clients.

Martin Wing Appointed to Co-Head of CAIA Southwest

We are delighted to announce that Martin Wing, Senior Vice President of Consultant Relations, has been appointed as the Chapter Co-Head of CAIA Southwest! Martin has been an active member of the chapter, previously serving on the Executive Committee. The CAIA Southwest chapter offers unique educational opportunities to the local investment community, including its annual ALTSLA gathering and the Summer at the Parks networking series.

Pathway Hires Jérôme Simon as an Associate in our European Division

We’re delighted to welcome Jérôme Simon to the Pathway team as our newest Associate in our European division!

Jérôme joins us with a wealth of experience in business development within the investment management sector. Prior to joining Pathway, he played a pivotal role in servicing Swiss institutional clients at Partners Group in Zug, Switzerland. Before that, he had experience as a structuring professional at GenTwo Financial Products in Zurich.

His experience cultivating strong relationships with top investors in the alternatives space, and his dedication to delivering tailored solutions perfectly align with our mission here at Pathway.

Jérôme holds a master’s degree in finance from IE Business School, Madrid, and we’re confident that his expertise will greatly contribute to our ongoing success in the EMEA region.

Pathway Makes Senior-Level Promotions

We are pleased to announce that Pathway has expanded the Management Committee to include Alex Casbolt, Vincent Dee, Derrek Ransford, Valerie Ruddick, and Wayne Smith. We have also expanded our direct equity investment committee to include Jason Jenkins, Bryan Nelson, and John Ruggieri and our direct credit investment committee to include Kevin Bland. Additionally, the chairs for our four investment committees are now as follows:

Pathway Closes on $185 Million Customized Fund of Funds for Asia-Based Investor

Pathway is pleased to announce that it has closed on a $185 million customized fund of funds for an Asia-based institutional investor. The fund will seek to build a diversified portfolio of primary fund investments and co-investments in both the small and middle markets globally.

The fund represents a continuation of Pathway’s more than 30-year history of investing in the private markets, which includes more than $105 billion in commitments in over 100 customized portfolios for investors around the globe.

Pathway Promotes Raquel Nicolas and Ben Brewster to Co-CFOs

Pathway is pleased to announce that Raquel Nicolas and Ben Brewster have been promoted to CFO–Fund Accounting & Operations and CFO–Corporate, respectively. Together, Ms. Nicolas and Mr. Brewster oversee a team of more than 80 professionals across Pathway’s accounting teams. Ms. Nicolas joined Pathway in 2005, and Mr. Brewster joined Pathway in 2018.
