Pathway’s Team

Mr. Kim joined Pathway in 2026 and is a counsel in the California office. He is responsible for various legal and compliance issues related to Pathway and its clients, including non-disclosure agreements and the structuring, negotiating, and monitoring of private equity investment transactions.

Prior to joining Pathway, Mr. Kim was an associate in the investment funds group at Kirkland & Ellis LLP, where he advised on the formation, structuring, and ongoing operation of private investment funds, ranging from emerging managers to established global sponsors. He has also advised sponsors on internal economic and governance matters, co-investment arrangements, and separately managed accounts, as well as on fund-related aspects of M&A transactions. Mr. Kim received a BS in political science from Santa Clara University and a JD from University of California, Berkeley, School of Law.
