Pathway’s Team

Mr. Melican joined Pathway in 1996 and is a managing director in the California office. He is responsible for investment analysis and conducting due diligence on primaries, secondaries, and co-investments; negotiating and reviewing investment vehicle documents; and client servicing. Mr. Melican is a member of various Pathway committees, including the firm’s Investment Committee and Portfolio Construction Committee. Mr. Melican also serves on the advisory boards of several private market partnerships.

Prior to joining Pathway, Mr. Melican was an area credit manager for ITT Commercial Finance Corp., where he was primarily responsible for overseeing the financial reporting and credit-related functions of four regional offices. Other responsibilities included performing quarterly audits on the regional offices, as well as training and supervising staff personnel. Mr. Melican received a BBA from the University of San Diego and an MBA from the Paul Merage School of Business, at the University of California, Irvine.
